We took our maths lesson outside and used meter sticks and cubes to measure different things around our yard.

Humanities
In our new humanities topic we are learning about the Civil Rights Act in America. We each wrote a diary entry from the point of view of someone who experienced slavery. These are just a few examples of some of the amazing writing we have done.

Lego building
In our STEM lesson, we were tasked to build a tall tower out of Lego! We had a lot of fun building with our friends.
Meeting the author of Spy Fox!
Yesterday, Lacey went on a trip with our book club and had the amazing opportunity to meet and have her book signed by the author of Spy Fox and Agent Feathers - Dermot O’Leary!
Learning in the library
In our English lesson, we went to the library and listened and answered questions about our new class novel - Stella and the Seagull.
Measuring activities
In our maths lesson we took part in a carousel of activities linking to our maths topic -measuring. We measured with cubes, estimated the length of different objects around the room and used rulers to draw different lines with different lengths.
Happy pancake day!
Happy pancake day! In DT we made our own pancakes from scratch, topped them off with a choice of syrup, sugar and we even tried pancakes and orange juice! Yummy work, 4B!
Measuring height
In our maths today, we have started to learn about measuring heights. We went back to back to find out who is the tallest and who is the shortest in our class.
Music makers!
Lancashire Music Service came to school today and we were able to play multiple instruments on their music bus. We all took turns using each instrument, we had such a good time!
Road safety
In PSHE, we have been learning all about road safety. We went out and demonstrated how to safely cross the road and we took turns wearing the hi-vis coat. Amazing job, 4B!
